Assistant Teacher – 2 Positions Biddeford 3, Lebanon
Work with preschool children and their families 35 hrs/week. Applicants should have a minimum of two courses in early childhood education and two years relevant experience.
Support Staff - Biddeford
Work up to 18 hours per week on a school year schedule with preschool children. Work one on one with a particular child with significant health needs. Background in diabetes and insulin pumps preferred. Experience working with children is preferred. High School diploma or GED is required.

Shared Family Advocate – Biddeford 2 & Lyman
This position combines case management responsibilities for two Head Start centers. This person will work with families of pre-school children, 40 hours/week, on a school year schedule. Must have a minimum of High School diploma or GED, experience in social services and working with income eligible families. Knowledge of community resources, accessing community supports, case management, and home visit experience preferred. The Family Advocate must be willing to travel and have dependable vehicle.

Home Visitor – School Year – 2 Positions
Sanford 4 , Waterboro
Head Start is seeking a Home Visitor to work 40 hours per week to be based in our Sanford location. This is a school year position that requires travel (reimbursed for mileage) and flexible working hours, possibly including some evening hours.
Home visitors provide educational services and social service support to a caseload of up to10 families, each of whom receive one in-home visit per week. In addition the home visiting staff plan and supervise scheduled classroom socialization experiences for the families.
The successful applicant will have:

CDA , Associates or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education plus experience. (In lieu of academic credential, serious consideration will be given to applicants with ample field experience in the Early Childhood classroom and home teaching.)

Familiarity (or willingness and ability to become familiar) with Head Start program philosophy and standards.

Maturity, patience and compassion required to work independently with young children and their families

Ability to work both independently and as a cooperative member of a team

Excellent communication skills and good “on-the-spot”judgment and poise

Work 30 hours weekly Monday through Thursday preparing breakfast and serving lunch for pre-school children.

Work with pre-school children 12.5 hrs/wk (3:00 – 5:30pm) on a school year schedule. Must have high school diploma or GED & should be willing to work toward a CDA credential upon request. Must be able to lift 40lbs. if necessary.
Combination Option Supervisor- Waterboro
Work with pre-school children & their families 40 hrs. /week on a school year schedule. Position will involve supervising center staff and working in both the classroom and home settings. Must have a minimum of an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field..
