General Information
Head Start is a federally funded comprehensive school readiness program for children ages 0-5, and their families. The program works to enhance children’s self esteem and school readiness skills and supports parents as the primary teachers of their children. Head Start believes that the home is the child’s first classroom where the earliest learning takes place. Parents are a child’s first and most important teacher.

Head Start serves 336 children and their families in 11 York County towns and cities.

Service Area: York County (for all programs)
